Where Colors Become Music
Visual art meets sound. My process begins with one of my original artworks, from which I extract colors and translate them into musical notes. Each color represents a specific note, allowing me to compose unique melodies that are directly inspired by the visual elements of my work.
Once I have a set of notes, I use them to create a melody. Sometimes, I accompany the melody with lyrics, adding a new layer of emotion and meaning to the piece. With the support of AI, I take these ideas and bring them to life, crafting complete songs that are a harmonious blend of visual and auditory art.
The result is an original composition where the colors of my paintings are transformed into sound, and sometimes into full musical works, combining melody, harmony, and text. This fusion of art and technology allows me to explore new creative possibilities and share my vision with the world in a multi-sensory experience.
color-to-note assignment:
• Yellow (Hair): C#
• Blue (Eyes): G
• Green (Eyes): A
• Pink (Lips): A#
• Black (Background & Outlines): B
A simple melody based on the color mapping of the painting: C# – G – A – A# – B – G – A – C# – A# – B
Next I write text inspired by the colors, elements and feelings of the image. “In your eyes I see the stars shining”… Then I use AI to create a full melody — (C# mol key for pop sound): Stanse: C#m – A – E – B; Pre-Chorus: G#m – A – B – E; Chorus: C#m – A – E – B; Bridge: A – B – C#m – G#m
Enjoy!
